February 14<\/strong> is just around the corner, and you’re probably looking for the ideal gift for that special person<\/strong>, or the perfect romantic getaway. We know that love is priceless<\/strong>, but even if the packet is damaged.<\/p>\n

For this reason we propose almost \u201cfree\u201d plans that you can do without leaving the area (Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro del Pinatar)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1- A hiking trail- a classic<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

This plan never fails, it is fun, you are in touch with nature, you do exercise and most importantly it is \u201cfree\u201d<\/strong>. Our area offers two routes that every neighbour does once in his life:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

a) Route of the Rio Seco in the Pinar de Campoverde:<\/strong><\/a> this route can be started either in Pinar de Campoverde<\/strong>, or start where it ends, in Las Mil Palmeras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

b) The Salinas<\/strong> de San Pedro del Pinatar regional park:<\/a> here you can get lost in the undergrowth and watch the water birds in the area.<\/p>\n

2- Dinner under the stars<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It is true that in February<\/strong> it is not precisely hot, but with good blankets, good wine and good company, the cold is no impediment.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This plan will not show you more than the dinner you want to take, and choose the place. We recommend you a natural beach like La Higuericas (Torre de la Horadada) or La Torre Derribada (San Pedro del Pinatar),<\/strong> but any beach is worth to enjoy this evening.<\/p>\n

3- How about some art?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For those who enjoy art, at the Casa de Cultura<\/strong><\/a> you can find the exhibition: Painting as a philosophy of life<\/em> by Susana Collins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can visit it at the following times:<\/p>\n

8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.<\/strong> (Saturdays included)<\/p>\n

In case that you do not give you time to visit it for Valentine’s Day, the exhibition will be until next March 2.<\/p>\n

4- Photo contest<\/strong><\/h3>\n

An original way to spend Valentine’s Day<\/strong> is with a good photo session, and if you can enter a contest for a spa session and a gastronomic tasting, the best.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The City Council of Pilar de la Horadada<\/strong> launched the last February 10th<\/sup> the \u00a0IV Photo Contest<\/strong> “Rincones con amor en Pilar de la Horadada”<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>and \u00a0it is open until the next February 16th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

5- Romantic dinner and movie<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Finally, if the cold knocks on your door, and you do not feel like leaving home, it is best to prepare a good dinner, prepare some popcorn and stick a series marathon or a good movie.<\/strong><\/p>\n
