In the second semester of 2020, the communities of Andalusia, the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia suffered a rise in the price of new housing
According to the Study of New Housing in the Valencia, Murcia and Andalusia, prepared by the Appraisal Society, the average price of new construction has grown during the second half of 2020 in these communities. Actually, the data for Andalusia have been of € 1,748 / m2, in the Valencian Community € 1,723 / m2 and in Murcia € 1,263 / m2.
This represents a growth of 0.4%, 0.8% and 0.2% respectively, compared to the same period in 2019. Regarding the semi-annual variation, the report highlights a rise of 0.1% for Andalusia and the Valencian Community, while Murcia experiences a slight 0.3% drop.
ALICANTE GROWS WITHOUT STOPPING
If we focus on the Valencia Community, Alicante is undoubtedly the capital that has increased the average price the most in the last year (+ 1%), placing it at € 1,457 / m2. Even so Benidorm is the municipality with the highest price of the entire community, with € 1,946 / m2, even surpassing Valencia city (€ 1,900 / m2).
MURCIA SLOWLY DESCENTS
In the Region of Murcia, Murcia city has fallen by 0.3% in the last semester of 2020, however, municipalities such as Cartagena or San Pedro del Pinatar have experienced an increase in the average price compared to other periods. In fact, San Pedro del Pinatar has a growth of 0.2% in the price of new construction housing in the last six months of 2020.
