5 plans for Valentine’s Day “FREE” or almost
February 14 is just around the corner, and you’re probably looking for the ideal gift for that special person, or the perfect romantic getaway. We know that love is priceless, but even if the packet is damaged.
For this reason we propose almost “free” plans that you can do without leaving the area (Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro del Pinatar):
1- A hiking trail- a classic
This plan never fails, it is fun, you are in touch with nature, you do exercise and most importantly it is “free”. Our area offers two routes that every neighbour does once in his life:
a) Route of the Rio Seco in the Pinar de Campoverde: this route can be started either in Pinar de Campoverde, or start where it ends, in Las Mil Palmeras.
b) The Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar regional park: here you can get lost in the undergrowth and watch the water birds in the area.
2- Dinner under the stars
It is true that in February it is not precisely hot, but with good blankets, good wine and good company, the cold is no impediment.
This plan will not show you more than the dinner you want to take, and choose the place. We recommend you a natural beach like La Higuericas (Torre de la Horadada) or La Torre Derribada (San Pedro del Pinatar), but any beach is worth to enjoy this evening.
3- How about some art?
For those who enjoy art, at the Casa de Cultura you can find the exhibition: Painting as a philosophy of life by Susana Collins.
You can visit it at the following times:
8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Saturdays included)
In case that you do not give you time to visit it for Valentine’s Day, the exhibition will be until next March 2.
4- Photo contest
An original way to spend Valentine’s Day is with a good photo session, and if you can enter a contest for a spa session and a gastronomic tasting, the best.
The City Council of Pilar de la Horadada launched the last February 10th the IV Photo Contest “Rincones con amor en Pilar de la Horadada” and it is open until the next February 16th.
5- Romantic dinner and movie
Finally, if the cold knocks on your door, and you do not feel like leaving home, it is best to prepare a good dinner, prepare some popcorn and stick a series marathon or a good movie.
The platform is chosen by you: Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, and why not, you can always take a trip back in time and rent at the video club.
