Pilar de la Horadada’s library expands its collection
In Rodrigo Promotores we like to bet on culture, and that is why, this morning we have donated to the municipal library of Pilar de la Horadada more than 150 books.
In total about three book collections have been delivered to the Delegate of Culture, Dario Quesada Ferrer, by our manager Enrique Rodrigo Aranda, in a small event that has taken place in the “Casa de Cultura” of Pilar de la Horadada (C / Carretillas, 19 ).
The gift of a book, in addition to a gift, is a delicate compliment. (Spanish proverb)
A collection of classical literature where citizens can find literary titles such as the Iliad and Odyssey by Homer, Don Juan Tenorio by Fernando de Rojas or Hamlet by William Shakespeare. But this collection is not only composed of novels, but also philosophical titles such as The Republic or the State by Plato, The Social Contract by Jacques Rousseau or studies such as The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin.
The other are two collections of contemporary literature in Spanish, and among their titles include novels such as La Cruz de San Andrés by Camilo José Cela, El Manuscrito Carmesí by Antonio Gala, La Hija de Caníval de Rosa Montero or Lituma en los Andes by Mario Vargas Llosa among other great authors.
A gift for the people of Pilar de la Horadada that we hope they enjoy.
